Bainbridge Island Specialty Nutrition takes an interconnected, holistic approach to nutrition and healthy lifestyle. Nutrition plays a crucial role in health and happiness, and can help you to live and move more freely.
The experience of growing up with gastrointestinal distress encouraged my study of nutrition from a very early age, and from that grew my passion for helping others to achieve their health and wellness goals.
Whether you suffer from food or environmental allergies, have a complicated relationship with food and your body, have a medical need to establish different eating patterns, are struggling over how to get healthy food (or any food!) into your child or just want to feel more energetic and healthier, I’m looking forward to delving deep with you to figure out solutions.
After completing my Masters degree, focused on the prevention and treatment of pediatric obesity, I spent over 10 years working in pediatric and adult weight management and women’s health with Kaiser Permanente. I designed program curriculum and both managed and facilitated weight management programs, while working with adults, adolescents and their families on developing positive eating habits.
In my private practice I focus on creating an intuitive and mindful relationship with food, working toward gaining freedom and joy around food. I employ a compassionate, weight-inclusive approach to help you develop the skills to trust your body and to reduce shame and guilt. In partnership with other local providers, I work with clients struggling with disordered eating of all types. Ultimately, my hope is that those I work with are able to walk away with a peaceful and empowered relationship with food and their bodies.
The path to food freedom is often a tricky one, but it is so worth the journey.
